I am a former school teacher who started ABCya.com in 2004 because I could not find FREE and nonviolent children's activities on the web for my classroom. ABCya.com is intended to provide free fun and educational games kids to use under the guidance of their parents and teachers.
The advertisements on ABCya.com keep the website FREE for anyone to use -- Advertisers pay for ABCya.com so you do not have to. ABCya.com utilizes this approach instead of annual subscription fees or product placement in our activities.
Placing advertisements on a children's website can be challenging. Some children's websites will run any paying ad on their website. But at ABCya.com, we limit the advertisements that are allowed to appear. Our founder is a teacher and father of two young children, and we feel strongly that advertisements that appear on our site should be appropriate. Our advertising partners are members of NAI (the Network Advertising Initiative), which limits its members from targeting children younger than the age of thirteen in connection with online advertising unless the member has obtained parental consent, pursuant to the NAI Principles.
